CyteFinder II HT Imaging System
CyteFinder II HT is a high-throughput imaging system that scans up to 80 slides hands-free and uses machine learning to detect rare cells and find tissue without an operator.
CyteFinder II HT comes out of RareCyte's rare-cell work — the detection approach behind circulating-tumor-cell (CTC) analysis — now in a walk-up, barcode-tracked scanner. Seven fluorescence channels handle immunofluorescence, while brightfield handles H&E and IHC on tissue-capable configurations, keeping cellular and tissue-based multiplexed analysis on one instrument.
Scanning is designed to run unattended: a five-position automated turret and image-based autofocus work through the 81-slide tray on their own, while a machine-learning step flags rare cells and locates tissue as images come off the camera. Results are reviewable at the bench or from a remote workstation.
CyteFinder II HT is for Research Use Only. It is not for use in diagnostic procedures.

- Up to 80 slides scanned hands-free. The tray holds 81 standard microscope slides (80 loaded automatically, one manual) at ±5.0 µm load repeatability, and a 1D/2D barcode workflow tracks each sample through the run.
- A typical 20x whole-slide scan in about 6.5 minutes. Scanning a 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm area across five channels at 20 ms exposures takes roughly 6.5 minutes, autofocus included.
- Seven fluorescence channels, from DAPI to the near-infrared. A five-color solid-state LED source drives seven fluorescence channels spanning DAPI to Qdot 800, with brightfield imaging for H&E and IHC on tissue configurations.
- Machine-learning rare-cell detection on an sCMOS camera. A 2560 × 2160 sCMOS sensor with 6.5 µm pixels and 1.2 electrons of read noise feeds the rare-cell analysis and tissue-viewing software, with optional remote review.
