CyteFinder II Imaging System
CyteFinder II couples whole-slide fluorescence and brightfield imaging with image-guided single-cell retrieval, moving the rare cells it finds in liquid biopsy or tissue samples into high-depth sequencing.
CyteFinder II runs as one connected workflow. It images a whole slide across seven fluorescence channels and brightfield. Then the integrated CytePicker Retrieval Module lifts individual cells off that slide for high-depth sequencing.
RareCyte calls that workflow Pick-Seq. Every cell sent for sequencing traces back to a high-resolution image of where it sat, so multiomic data keeps its spatial context. Three configurations handle cells, tissue, or both. Together they cover CTC analysis, H&E and IHC imaging, high-resolution multiplexed tissue imaging, and differential expression on retrieved cells.

- Image-guided single-cell retrieval. The integrated CytePicker Retrieval Module picks individual cells at single-cell resolution through a 25 or 40 µm needle bore, then sends them to high-depth sequencing.
- Seven fluorescence channels plus brightfield. Excitation ranges from 395 to 745 nm and emission from 438 to 800 nm, covering DAPI and BV421 through Qdot 800. Imaging runs on an sCMOS camera at 2560 × 2160 pixels and 6.5 µm pixel size, with 1.2 electrons of read noise and a five-color solid-state LED illuminator.
- Whole-slide scanning built for discovery. A typical 20× whole-slide scan finishes in 6.5 minutes over a 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm area at five channels and 20 ms exposures, with image-based autofocus and a five-position automated turret. The stage holds two slides, loaded manually, with ±5.0 µm load repeatability.
- Three configurations for liquid biopsy and tissue. Cell, Tissue, and Cell + Tissue builds carry objectives from 4× to 40×, with an optional 40× 0.95 NA, and support IF, IHC, and H&E on standard microscope slides or CytePicker chamber slides.
