Orion HT Spatial Proteomics Platform
Orion HT is the high-throughput configuration of RareCyte's whole-slide spatial proteomics platform, built for around-the-clock automated imaging across large cohort studies.
Orion HT images 20 channels per round across a whole slide. It pairs that multiplex immunofluorescence with 30-slide, barcode-driven automation for shared-instrument labs and operates unattended around the clock. Quantitative image-analysis output runs in parallel with scanning, so results are ready as each slide finishes rather than after a separate analysis pass.
One instrument covers IF, IHC, and same-section H&E through integrated brightfield optics, and it adds multi-round capability when a study needs higher plex. Images are managed in OMERO Plus for collaborative review, and the system scales from a single project to large cohort studies.

- 20 channels per round, plus same-section H&E. Orion HT images 20 channels per round and adds multi-round capability for higher-plex studies. Integrated brightfield optics capture H&E on the same tissue section, so IF, IHC, and H&E all come from one instrument.
- More than 100 slides per week, unattended. A 30-slide barcode-driven loader runs around the clock and clears more than 100 slides per week, so one instrument serves a multi-user lab.
- Whole-slide imaging at sub-micron resolution. A 20X 0.8 NA objective and a 2048 × 2048 sCMOS camera (95% QE) image whole slides at sub-micron resolution, at a scan speed of 4 minutes per cm² per channel.
- Quantitative analysis in parallel with imaging. Orion HT runs quantitative image analysis while it scans and writes 16-bit OME-TIFF files to 28 TB of on-board storage, with OMERO Plus managing the images for collaborative review across a group.
